DVD 7481 PLACIDO DOMINGO

Domingo and Mehta with the NYSO produce good performances in this Caruso tribute - video quality is ok (you get the commercials also!). Domingo's phrasing not as expansive as on some of his recordings although some of the arias, especially Vesti la Giubba (Pagliacci) and Rachel quand du Seigneur (La Juive) are fantastic. There is a bonus of Domingo giveing a masterclass in Philadelphia, which is v interesting for anyone concerned with the art of singing..
