DVD 6949 GISELLE

Ballet is for the eyes and mind. Bad picture quality opera can be OK (is often a blessing considering the ubiquity of EuroTrash productons, inept direction, bad acting and fat figures), but bad quality ballet is impossible. Ballet is supposed to be visually beautiful and this is one of the worst looking many-times-removed-from-the-original copies of any performance I have ever seen. A big orange blob pretty accurately describes what you see from start to when I gave up and turned it off. There are a number of very fine Giselle performances, so forget about this one.
