DVD 5263 UNDER YOUR SPELL

This is a creaky period piece but for those who can get thru it, this is a marvelous film. I agree with everything "fallbrook" said. It is most enjoyable for the class acting in several parts, though dated, and for showing us why Tibbett became such a superstar as well as a great singer. On several levels: Don't miss this one!

Love it all, especially the "My Little Mule Wagon" song. Tibbett also gets in a Faustian devil "Le Veau d'Or." There is also a Spanish "Amigo" song with a big, exciting chorus, and of course, the title song, all strung together with a delightful comic story. Gregory Ratoff and Treacher are enjoyable foils. Any Tibbett fan should have this!
