DVD 5184 LA JOLIE FILLE DE PERTH

This is a very enjoyable opera and should be better known. The cast all sing very well, acting is good, and the staging is minimal but adequate. Audio (Dolby stereo)is very good and video is good. The only problem is that the movie was filmed in a wide format & transfering it to the DVD format has cut off the left & right edges so that part of the titles are missing.
