DVD 5108 FRANCO CORELLI OPERATIC CONCERT

I've watched this DVD again and again and I have to admit that the more I watch it the more I enjoy it. From the vocal point of view, Corelli was undoubtedly one of the best tenors of the 20th century. His acting, however, was usually somewhat disappointing, perhaps due to his stage fright. Despite the fact that this was a concert performance, it is noticeable that he felt very uncomfortable on stage, often stiff and looking down. On the other hand, his singing was superb, his vocal technique remained untouched and his diminuendos were (still) absolutely incomparable. This DVD is a must for all Corelli fans.
