DVD 5040 NORMA (Bellini)

This proction is 1977 from La scala .Any fan of Caballé and Troyanos this dvd is a mustThe picture and sound is good.However there not not many closeup

Caballe sings divinely here,although she looks rather cross all the time,had something upset her?Troyanos (a Favourite)blends well in the duets,and portrays Adalgisa very well,Lamberti does what he can with Pollione,the production is not to my taste,very "teutonic"all boxes,that could be what Caballes cross about.The DVD colour is at time "mushy" due to the age of the recording,and the state of the Video it came from I think,but well worth buying.
