Famous and less familiar

Never really cared for these galas (except for the Met Centennial back in 1983, which is an absolute must!) - but of course you can´t just oversee the 100th year of Verdi passing away. We get a through a lot of repertory, the famous stuff as well as the less familiar - and there are fine performances to be heard. Mehta, conductor.
