3137-4 DIE WALKURE

This is a Radio 3 broadcast from the Welsh National Opera. There is no date but I would guess this is from 1992-2003. This is in English. Sound quality is satisfactory for a live broadcast. Thankfully audience participation is minimal. The principals are mostly in good voice. Orchestral execution is satisfactory. The best thing about this recording is the conducting in my opinion. Maestro Armstrong whips up a storm in all the right places. He slows the tempo nicely for the tender momments in Act II, Scene 4. If you can tolerate Die Walkure in the wrong language I recommend this performance
