as my title says,this is the one to have,on stage at La Scala,Tagliabue is great as di Luna,Penno,a tenor I am not always happy to see on a cast list is here magnificent,Stignani,surely one of the greatest voices of the 20th.Century gets anovation during her 2nd.act duet with Manrico,she is really into the role,and Callas is simply magnificent as Leonora.

As my title says,it is the Trovatore with Callas to have,here she is on the stage of "La Scala"with a magnificent cast,Tagliabue is great as Luna,Penno,a tenor I am not always happy to see on a cast list,is here very good,and behaves himself-well almost,Ebe Stignani,one of the GREAT voices of the 20th.Century,is a magnificent Azucena,really getting into the role,she gets an ovation after her "bit" in the Azucena/Manrico duet in the 2nd.act,this leaves Callas,who betters her studio recording by miles,I thoroughly enjoyed this recording,and I am sure you will too.
